Two toys for the cat, without ads: a laser dot and a mouse. Lay the phone or tablet flat in front of the cat, start one, and pick the device up when the game is over.

The toys#

The laser dot darts to a spot, waits, and darts on with a chirp. The mouse runs along the edges with a scurry, slips out behind the border and peeks back in somewhere else. A paw that catches either makes it squeak and run away. The toy gets faster after catches and slower when the paws have stopped catching, so a kitten and an old cat both get a chase they can win.

While it runs#

The toy fills the screen, hides the system bars and keeps the screen on, also for a tablet on power left out for a shy cat. Back does nothing, and a swipe from the edge only shows the bars.

Ending a game#

Picking the device up ends it: the game compares how the device lies with how it lay at the start, so a cat sliding it over the floor does not. The lock in the corner, held for three seconds, ends it too, for a tablet in a stand or a device without a motion sensor. The Play page then says how many catches in how many minutes; nothing is stored.

Sounds#

The squeak, the chirp and the scurry are made by the app. The switch on the Play page turns them off on this device.
