Catalogs

A catalog is a world of its own: its own cats, clowders, fields, photos and sync partners. Berlin and Paris never mix.

Switching and adding#

A tap on the name at the top of the home screen lists the catalogs on this device; a tap switches, the plus makes a new one. The catalogs page in Settings does the same and more.

A catalog's settings#

The gear on a catalog: name, cats or pets, fields, authors and bans, archive, go back, "move in from another catalog", delete. Deleting writes the catalog to a file first. Your key, the code partners see next to your name, stays with the catalog.

Moving between catalogs#

A cat, or a home with its cats, can be moved to another catalog on the same device: "Move to another catalog" on its page. The entries are re-stamped under the destination, so the two catalogs never meet again through a partner.
